Donna Vicroy, Church Pianist:
Donna has been playing the piano for our church since 1979.
She also has served as director for our childrens choir and is currently serving as director of our Young at Heart choir.
Donna is talented in several areas, she is a master of the ivory keys, she is excellent with the organ, she has a beautiful voice, she cooks, she cleans, she is great with children.
Family: Married to Dan and they have three children, Alex, Abbey, and Sam
Sheryl Harris, Church Organist:
Sheryl began playing piano at the age of five and was taught by her father, John Wood, who served as Minister of Music at Orcutt Baptist and Ivy Memorial Baptist on the peninsula for over 32 years. She began to play organ at 16. She studied organ at Campbell University and worked on a degree in education at Christopher Newport University. She is also skilled as an organizer/teacher, working with children and preschool choirs and as a preschool/children's coordinator. She has been organist at Ivy Memorial Baptist Church in Hampton, Temple Baptist Church in Newport News, and at Emmaus Baptist Church in Poquoson. She was also the pianist for the Heart Throbs Senior Adult Choir at Liberty Baptist Church in Hampton. Sheryl was at Faith Baptist Church in Einsiedlerhof, Germany, where she served as organist/pianist for four years. She has played for the Peninsula Baptist Association, the Baptist General Association of Virginia, and the European Baptist Convention. Sheryl also provides childcare for four precious little girls that include two grand nieces and the cutest granddaughter imaginable. She has taught piano for over 30 years.
Sheryl is married to Charlie, a retired US Air Force musician for over 30 years who was stationed with the USAF Heritage of America Band at Langley for over 23 years. They have two grown sons. Christopher lives in Washington DC and is a member of the USAF Band's Singing Sergeants. Stephen lives in Poquoson and works for Ferguson Enterprises and is married to Jessica. In her spare time (whatever that is), Sheryl loves to read, swim, and travel.
