West Hampton Baptist Church Senior Citizen Ministries
Senior Adult Choir
Our senior adult choir meets every Tuesday morning for fun, fellowship,
and of course to rehearse (I can’t forget to mention that). We like to call it our
"Happy Hour", because you can't leave with a sour looking face. We have so much
fun doing this that we sometimes forget that we are here to rehearse.
Whether we're 55 or 85, we are all treated the same. All of us known and called by
our first name. We sing the old time hyms and some of the newer ones too. Either
way we have a lot of fun under the leadership of Donna Vicroy. Donna does an
outstanding job leading us. I often wonder how she puts up with us. It has to be
because she loves us and loves doing it, and we just love her. She truly is a God
sent blessing, as lively as a dove.
Often we visit nursing homes to help lift their spirits a little, but the truth is
it's our spirits that have been lifted the most by this.
The scriptures tell us to make a joyful noise to the Lord, and we love to do just
that! When our weekly rehearsals are over and we leave to go home, our hearts are
filled with joy, and laughter, and our spirits are soaring, because we know that
we have been blessed.
A Pesonal Invitation From Bill Burleson:
If you want to be a part of all this mayhem, come join with us on Tuesday mornings
for a couple of hours, but be warned, your life will never be the same. All that is
required is age, cataracts, sleepless nights, and willingness to make a joyful noise.
Come join with us and be one of the "BUNCH"
Our senior adult choir sang for Family Night, click the link below to hear and see how they did.
