West Hampton has become a PeaceBuilders site!
30 Volunteers and staff attended an all afternoon training on September 12, 2009 to learn how we can implement "peace building" in our ministry with children and their families. PeaceBuilders is a program to help children and adults learn how to build peace at home, at school, at church, and in our communities every day. Originally designed to be implemented in secular and private schools, we are charting new territory by being one of the first churches to implement PeaceBuilders.
We will be learning new strategies, new language, and new methods to make the learning environment more in keeping with the example of peace as set by our Savior, Jesus Christ. A leadership team was formed which will be directing this ministry program. Be watching this section of our website for more information about how West Hampton Baptist will be a peace building church.
Our official Kick-Off Date will be Sunday, September 27.
